A new upholstery was installed, while the bottom, although in good condition, underwent sanding, tightening of fasteners, recaulking of seams, and a fresh coat of bottom paint. The current owner acquired this boat in 2010 and began restoration work in 2011. During their heyday, these boats were known for their luxuriousness, featuring genuine leather upholstery and a sturdy 4-piece folding windshield. It was among the first post-war runabouts to showcase the distinctive blond decking. This is hull number 334, was built in the final year. The Chris Craft 20ft Custom Runabout succeeded the pre-war 19ft Custom Runabout or Barrel Back. This boat is in immaculate condition and is in the water now. This gorgeous example was built as a passenger carrying day boat and reportedly owned at various times by actors Wes Parker and James Dean.
